When I think about people like Ed who have such a bright, shiny spirit it is impossible not to notice; when I read what these two women writers have to say; when I think about anyone who’s spirit-minded, I realize these people do not have formal education past high school and I begin to wonder if formal education is an impediment to spiritual growth?? Are we killing the spirit’s natural growth process, or some kind of natural process of inquiry, with self-imposed “rational” thought processes required to succeed at university? How can an inquisitive hungry spirit reach it’s fullest potential despite being taught it doesn’t really exist?
