Who I Saw Yesterday

March 17th, 2006

Yesterday was the 16th of March. An auspicious day and one I ‘ve been looking forward to for several weeks. Adam was in town for a brief show as part of a larger line-up of independent artists. Not part of SXSW. The show was free, so definitely not a part of SXSW. He played a decent set of favorite songs peppered with a few brand new songs. Very cool. I’m looking forward to hearing these new songs again. The turnout was less than stellar. Not so cool. It was discouraging even to me, and I wasn’t performing so I can only imagine what Adam was thinking. I really, really hope he can come around again. Maybe when they get back from tour. Adam was kind enough to chat with us a bit and sign some CD’s. That was very sweet. When the next performer finished, it was only 6p so my friend and I got up to move on around the corner to one of our favorite bars. It was my intention to invite Adam along, but by the time we turned around to close our tab, he was already gone. Oh well. Austin is a great place and I hope he had a chance to get around and see some sights and do some stuff.
